Perugia, Oct. 5, 2024 - The seventh edition of the Antognolla Open, Antognolla Golf's exclusive annual tournament, closes with 170 attendees and more than 90 golfers. Winning the cup is Pierluigi Alessandri, vice-president of Technogym.

Launched for the first time in 2017, the Antognolla Open is now a recurring event in the golf calendar of enthusiasts, since both Antognolla Golf members and outside players can take part. Created to enhance the Umbrian territory and to consolidate Antognolla's leadership in the field, the Antognolla Open is played on a golf course that includes 18 holes and covers 32 hectares. Designed by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. the course has received GEO certification and has undergone major investments, including tees, irrigation systems and drainage system. Thanks to the latter, Antognolla Golf is playable year-round and maintains high standards.

“Here at Antognolla,” - comments Robert Trent Jones Jr. ”we didn't simply design a course: we let the natural contours of the Umbrian hills and this beautiful natural landscape create an experience for players. We envisioned this course deeply connected to the history surrounding it and to the castle of Antognolla, building for golfers a journey into the history, beauty and ecological richness of Umbria. For me, designing Antognolla was much more than creating a golf course: it was about honoring the rich heritage of this region and looking to the future of the sport.”

“Once again this year“-adds Cèsar Burguiere, Golf Director of Antognolla-”we have experienced significant success with the public, which testifies to how this event has now become part of golfers' annual calendar. We look forward to gathering them all here for the next edition in 2025.”
